Firewoman Studio | Coloring Book - Inspire Inspirit
A Museum Quality Coloring Book for All Ages by Sasa
The first, in a series, coloring book to honor 26 years of being a female totemic artisan along the Great Salish Sea. The images in the first edition have been Sasa's templates since she began carving a couple decades ago. They are Coastal Salish style to honor her children and their heritage.
Designs appear on one page then flip the page and try drawing with Sasa as you see the design shown through the paper under the haiku written by Sasa's son, Jesse. As you color and do your own creations think about the lessons that each symbol teaches. This helps helped Sasa and her family process reality and the universe, and most important it had helped guide them back to their hearts.
Firewoman Studios is owned by Sasa, Two Hats, and Starwalker. They are of Tsalagi, Makah, S'Klallam, and Skokomish descent as well as Dutch and French. That being said, they are aware they have had many lifehoods and are of many dimensions. Each day they walk mindfully through their day, traversing Pacha Mama, Mother Earth.
Sasa has been carving since 1990 and is mostly self taught with some apprenticeship early on with a local Native carver. Two Hats and Starwalker are apprenticing with Sasa. They paint and carve in Haida Style, and Northwest Coastal Salish style.
